Over the weekend of March 7-8, BNBU was honored to welcome partners from Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). This special gathering was meticulously designed to nurture collaborations and showcase BNBU's diverse offerings to international students and those enrolled in the Extended Study Program (ESP).
The visiting delegation was a diverse group, featuring representatives from institutions including the American School of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia; Deira International School, Dubai; Hin Hua High School, Malaysia; New Era International School, Mongolia; Tsun Jin High School, Malaysia; Orchlon International School, Mongolia; Global Vision Christian School, Eumseong Campus, Republic of Korea; Hobby School of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia; and Rato Bangala School, Nepal.
The visit commenced with a welcome dinner, attended by BNBU's senior management team and a selection of distinguished department professors. The attendees included BNBU President, Prof. Chen Zhi; Prof. Patrick Chau, Provost, Acting Associate Vice President of Internationalization; Prof. Weimin Liu, Department Head of DAcc and Associate Dean for Research and Development of FBM; Prof. Terry Huajun Ye, Acting Dean of FST; Prof. Charles David Lowe, Department Head of DLC from FHSS; Dr. Chally Chai Lee Lim, Associate Professor from FHSS; and Dr. Geuntae Park, Associate Professor/Assistant Dean of SCC.

The following day began with an introduction by Dr. Katharina Yu, BNBU's Director of the International Development Office, who shared insights into the principles and ethos of BNBU's education model. This was followed by a constructive discussion on various academic and administrative topics.

The morning session also included a student sharing segment, where four BNBU students - two from the ESP program and two full-time degree-seeking students - shared their experiences and insights about life at BNBU. This session provided the guests with a firsthand account of the opportunities and experiences that BNBU offers its students.

A series of activities were then conducted to showcase BNBU's commitment to whole-person education and to provide a glimpse into traditional Chinese culture. This included a class led by BNBU students on calligraphy and Guqin.

The guests were also given tours of both BNBU campuses, where they were shown the institution's modern and extensive facilities, including the sports complex, library and learning center, and the math zone. A special highlight was the tour of the dormitories on the second campus, which emphasized the comfortable and conducive living conditions that BNBU provides.
After lunch, the delegation was taken on a city tour of Zhuhai, which included visits to the Zhuhai Planning Exhibition Hall and the Zhuhai Grand Theater. This tour showcased the vibrant cultural and business life of Zhuhai, further highlighting UIC's strategic location.

The eventful day concluded with a dinner, providing an opportunity for the guests to network further and discuss potential collaborations. The dinner fostered insightful conversations about future collaborations, cementing the success of the weekend visit.
