On April 19, 2025, ESP and international students explored Guishan Island's coastal ecology, cultural heritage, and technological innovation. Serving as a strategic GBA exploration initiative, the trip demonstrated how coastal scenery integrates historical preservation with smart technologies. This cross-campus collaboration embodied BNBU's liberal arts education philosophy through interdisciplinary learning bridging cultural studies and technological literacy.
The day’s activities balanced cultural immersion with technological discovery. The morning session featured coastal heritage studies at Guishan Pier’s fishing grounds, literary analysis of Song Dynasty poetry at Wen Tianxiang Square, and environmental art interactions along the boardwalk. The afternoon workshop showcased pioneering drone delivery services between Tangjia Port and Guishan Island, where students experienced real-time take-away transportation - observing how low-altitude logistics systems enhance remote community services.
