2025年海外寒假项目线下宣讲会将于2024年10月9日14:00-15:00在T6-104举行,欢迎感兴趣的同学前来听讲!目前,国际发展处(IDO) 已经开放2025年寒假项目的申请(*项目详情请时时关注更新)。
UIC为学生提供短期海外寒假学习机会,每一位符合申请条件的全日制Y2-4学生可申请IDO组织的海外寒假项目。本项目为自费项目,请学生根据自身需求自愿参加。申请之前,请仔细考虑主办机构的所有要求、旅行风险和政策,以便在征得父母/法定监护人同意的情况下做出明智的决定。

2025 IDO海外寒假项目详情:
申请须知:
1.大二到大四cGPA达到2.5(2024年春季学期sGPA不得小于2.0)的同学可报名。
2.申请的同学务必在10月18日前取得有效护照,且项目结束后仍有6个月的有效期。
3.申请项目的同学须满18岁。
4.由于海外寒假项目整个流程较长,为避免不必要的损失,不建议有相邻时期海外出行安排的同学报名。
5.请同学们谨慎考虑是否参加海外寒假项目,行政费1200元一经收取不做退款处理。
6.寒假项目学分绩点不计入cGPA
1)课程成绩必须达到UIC成绩等级的C或C以上才能申请将学分转回(注:项目课程评分PASS/P等级不可作为转回标准);
2) 已在UIC成功修读过同一门课且有及格或以上成绩,不可申请转学分.
7.IDO协办的海外寒假项目为团组项目。报名参加项目的同学即视为同意跟随学生团组出发和回国。一般来讲,团组的出发和返回的机场一般为广东省/香港的机场。任何项目内和项目截至时的个人行程将不被允许。

请于2024年10月18日下午4:30前到IDO办公室(T4-103)提交如下资料,逾期不候:
1.身份证复印件一份(身份证正反2页复印在A4纸同一面)
2.护照照片页复印件三份(照片页)
3.有父/母及学生本人签名的报名表(*完成网上申请后系统会生成完整报名表,报名表内含有学生及家长签名确认书,家长签名处必须由家长亲笔签名,若无法提供已签名原件,可接受家长亲笔签名的扫描复印件!)
4.所有学期成绩单原件一份(所有学期成绩单,请到AR处打印)

Dear Students,
We are delighted to announce that the International Development Office (IDO) will arrange an information session for the 2025 Winter Programs. The session will take place at 14:00-15:00 on October 9, 2024, at T6-104. Please note that the details are subject to change, and we encourage you to stay tuned for updates.
At UIC, we provide our full-time Y2-4 students with the opportunity to apply for the IDO-organized overseas winter programs. This self-funded initiative is designed to broaden your horizons and enrich your academic experience. However, it also requires you to consider and manage various factors, including the host institution's requirements, travel risks, and policies. Before applying, we urge you to carefully consider all aspects of participation and to make informed decisions with the consent of your parents or legal guardians.
We encourage all interested students to closely follow emails from IDO for the latest information and updates. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Application instructions:
1. Full-time Y2-4 students with a cGPA no less than 2.5 (2024 spring semester sGPA not less than 2.0) are eligible.
2. Applicants must obtain a valid passport before October 18 and have at least 6 months of validity after the program ends.
3. Before apply to this program, students must over 18 years old.
4. Avoid signing up if you have adjacent overseas travel plans during the same period.
5. Please carefully consider whether to participate in the overseas winter program, as the administrative fee of RMB 1200 is non-refundable once collected.
6. By regulations, students who have obtained grade C or above (or its approved equivalent) for the Overseas Winter Courses are allowed to apply for transferring the course units back to UIC. The eligible students can submit application through the online system within the designated timeframe. Units transferred from other institutions (except HKBU) will not be included in the GPA calculation.
7. Generally, IDO-coordinated overseas winter programs are group programs. Students registering for the program are considered to agree to travel and return with the student group. Usually, the departure and return airports for the group are in Guangdong Province/Hong Kong. Any personal itinerary within or after the program end will not be allowed.

· Submit the required documents to the IDO office (T4-103) by 4:30 pm on October 18, 2024.
Required Documents:
1. One copy of ID card (both sides on the same page).
2. Three copies of the passport photo page.
3. Signed registration form by parents and students
(*the completed online application system will generate a complete registration form containing a confirmation letter signed by both parents and students; the parental signature must be handwritten. If the signed original cannot be provided, a scanned copy of the parent's handwritten signature is acceptable).
4. Original copy of all semester transcripts (print from AR).
