亲爱的同学们，
我们非常高兴地通知大家，国际发展处（IDO）现在正式接受2025年海外暑期项目的申请（*请密切关注我们的网站以获取项目的最新详情）。
UIC为学生提供短期的海外暑期学习机会。任何符合申请条件的全日制Y1-3学生都可以申请参加IDO组织的海外暑期项目。这是一个自费项目，我们希望学生根据自身的需求自愿参加。在申请前，请仔细考虑主办机构的所有要求、旅行的风险和政策，以便在得到父母或法定监护人的同意后做出明智的决定。
IDO将在本周三下午安排2025年暑期项目的线上宣讲会，面对面的宣讲会将会安排在下个学期开学时。我们也会邀请一些海外学校进行线上或面对面的分享会。

2025 IDO海外暑期项目详情：
申请须知：
1.大一到大三cGPA达到2.0（每学期 GPA不得小于1.68）的同学可报名。
2.申请的同学务必在2月24日前取得有效护照，且项目结束后仍有6个月的有效期。
3.申请加拿大项目的同学须满19岁，其他项目须满18岁。
4.部分项目有英语水平和cGPA要求，请参考项目清单。
5.由于时间紧迫和席位有限，每位学生建议仅参加一个IDO组织的暑期项目。同时，因为海外暑期项目整个流程较长，为避免不必要的损失，不建议有相邻时期海外出行安排的同学报名。
6.请同学们谨慎考虑是否参加海外暑期项目，行政费1200元一经收取不做退款处理。
7.暑期项目学分绩点不计入cGPA
1）课程成绩必须达到UIC成绩等级的C或C以上才能申请将学分转回（注：交换学校的评分PASS/P等级不可作为转回标准);
2) 已在UIC成功修读过同一门课且有及格或以上成绩，不可申请转学分.
8.一般来说，IDO协办的海外暑期项目为团组项目。报名参加项目的同学即视为同意跟随学生团组出发和回国，团组的出发和返回的机场一般为广东省/香港的机场。任何项目内和项目截至时的个人行程将不被允许。

1.身份证复印件一份（身份证正反2页复印在A4纸同一面）
2.护照照片页复印件三份（照片页）
3.有父母及学生本人签名的报名表（*完成网上申请后系统会生成完整报名表，报名表内含有学生及家长签名确认书，家长签名处必须由家长亲笔签名，若无法提供已签名原件，可接受家长亲笔签名的扫描复印件！）
4.所有学期成绩单原件一份（所有学期成绩单，请到AR处打印）
5.英语语言成绩（如需）。

Dear Students,
We are delighted to announce that the International Development Office (IDO) is now accepting applications for the 2025 Overseas Summer Program (*please keep an eye on our website for updates on the program details).
UIC provides short-term overseas summer learning opportunities for students. Any full-time Y1-3 student who meets the application requirements can apply for the overseas summer programs organized by IDO. This is a self-funded program, and we encourage students to participate voluntarily based on their own needs. Before applying, please carefully consider all the requirements of the host institution, travel risks, and policies, so as to make a wise decision with the consent of your parents or legal guardians.
IDO will arrange an online information session for the 2025 Summer Program this Wednesday afternoon. The face-to-face information session will be scheduled at the start of next semester. And we will also invite some partner institutions to conduct online or face-to-face sharing sessions.

Application instructions:
1. Full-time Y1-3 students with a cGPA no less than 2.0 (semester GPA not less than 1.68) are eligible.
2. Applicants must obtain a valid passport before February 24 and have at least 6 months of validity after the program ends.
3. Students applying for Canadian programs must be at least 19 years old, and for other programs, at least 18 years old.
4. Some programs have English proficiency and cGPA requirements; please refer to the program list.
5. Due to time constraints and limited seats, it is recommended that each student participate in only one IDO-organized summer program. Avoid signing up if you have adjacent overseas travel plans during the same period.
6. Please carefully consider whether to participate in the overseas summer program, as the administrative fee of RMB 1200 is non-refundable once collected.
7. By regulations, students who have obtained grade C or above (or its approved equivalent) for the Overseas Summer Courses are allowed to apply for transferring the course units back to UIC. The eligible students can submit application through the online system within the designated timeframe. Units transferred from other institutions (except HKBU) will not be included in the GPA calculation.
8. Generally, IDO-coordinated overseas summer programs are group programs. Students registering for the program are considered to agree to travel and return with the student group. Usually, the departure airport for the group is in Guangdong Province/Hong Kong. Any personal itinerary within or after the program end will not be allowed.

Submit the required documents to the IDO office (T4-103) by 4:30 pm on February 24, 2025.
Required Documents:
1. One copy of ID card (both sides on the same page).
2. Three copies of the passport photo page.
3. Signed registration form by parents and students (*the completed online application system will generate a complete registration form containing a confirmation letter signed by both parents and students; the parental signature must be handwritten. If the signed original cannot be provided, a scanned copy of the parent's handwritten signature is acceptable).
4. Original copy of all semester transcripts (print from AR).
5. English language test scores (if required).
