UIC IDO 2021/2022 Spring Semester Exchange Out & Study Abroad Programmes Announcement

UIC offers students opportunities to study in overseas partner institutes for one semester during their four years study in UIC. Listed are available seats for 2021/2022 Spring Semester. The IDO Exchange Out & Study Abroad Programmes are voluntary programmes which include tuition-waiver exchange seats and fee-paying seats.


Candidates must have demonstrated excellent academic performance during UIC study. Minimum requirements for each candidate are: IELTS 6.0 (RWSL no less than 5.5) or TOFEL79 (RWSL no lower than 19) and cGPA 2.5 (sGPA no less than 2.0). IDO will select qualified students based on their academic records, host school quota, TOEFL/IELTS score, participation in Extra Curricular Activities and general personality and submit the complete application materials to deans and AR. The program director or his/her representative will be invited to the interview. 1300RMB application/training fee per student will be charged once the student is recruited by UIC. This fee is not refundable.

  • 2021-2022 semester 1 final exam period: Dec. 26-30, 2021

  • 2021-2022 semester 1 make-up & supplementary exams will be arranged at the beginning of Semester 2

  • About 51 study abroad and exchange seats available up to Jun 7th, 2021. Notice will be sent out to all students if more information is received from partner institutions.


IMPORTANT:

  • Some partner institutions require exchange students to arrive on their campuses at the beginning of January 2022 (right after the final exam period of 2021 fall semester), which may result in high pressure in terms of pre-departure preparation. If you intend to study at one of the said institutions, please make proper arrangement in advance.

  • In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation, please be aware that visa issues could still be challenging and that travel restrictions and quarantine measures could be implemented accordingly in the host country


  • UC Berkeley Extension

Tuition $15,500 - $19,900

Berkeley Haas Global Access Program and BGA Discover Program

The minimum English language test scores are as follows:

  • IELTS (Academic module) overall 6.5 with 5.5 in each component

  • TOEFL iBT 92 or above with 20 in each section

Students who wish to take 3rd/ 4th year level (honours) courses in Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences need to meet a slightly higher score:

  • IELTS (Academic module) overall 6.5 with 6.5 in each component

  • TOEFL iBT 92 or above with 23 in each section

Applicants must have completed at least 1 full year of study at UIC.

The tuition fees for the 2021/2022: £10,050

Please hand in below print documents before 10:00 Sep. 9th, 2021 to IDO office at T4-103:

  • Printed application form (print out after online application submission with parents’ signatures);

  • One original copy of UIC academic transcript (transcripts of all previous semesters);

  • Personal statement (print out with your signature and date);

  • Original copy of English certificate(IELTS or TOEFL);

  • A signed letter of recommendation from your English language teacher and program professor respectively;

  • One copy of passport (valid at least six months after the end of the exchange program) and one copy of ID card (both sides on one page);
