MoU signed with Faculty of Science of Charles University

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was recently signed between UIC and the Faculty of Science of Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.

Charles University, founded in 1348, is the oldest university in Central Europe rooted in a long tradition of academic excellence. Today, Charles University is a modern, multi-disciplinary, and research-oriented institution with nearly 50,000 students undertaking bachelor, Masters and Doctoral programmes.

The Faculty of Science of Charles University, having celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2020, was added to the four existing faculties in 1920.

The purpose of the MoU is to promote cooperation between UIC and the Faculty of Science of Charles University in geography studies. The MoU was initiated by UIC’s Associate Vice President (Internationalization) and the Dean of the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Chair Professor of Geography, Prof Adrian Bailey.
