I cultivated meaningful friendships, expanded my perspectives, observed the cultural distinctions between China and the United States, and acquired knowledge that will endure a lifetime. 

Reflecting on the past few months, I am still touched by the applause of my classmates, who urge me to speak with confidence, and the genuine concern shown by my professors. Willamette University fosters a vibrant and open academic environment where students are brimming with intellectual curiosity, supporting each other along their academic journeys. Beyond a wealth of knowledge, my experience at Willamette has imbued me with humanistic empathy and the courage to authentically express myself. It is a place where one can flourish unhindered, knowing that classmates and professors stand firmly in support. The university thoughtfully organized diverse activities for international exchange students during their free time, facilitating connections and providing insights into the local culture. 

This exchange experience will forever be etched in my memory. I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity bestowed upon me by UIC and Willamette University, and it will undoubtedly remain a highlight in my life.
