IDO welcomes Fly-In Counsellor Visit 2024

International student recruitment for HKBU as well as UIC an important activity to increase diversity on campus and to invite talented students from around the world to learn in the region. Direct networking with high school counsellors in sending countries is getting more and more important to make a difference in an extremely competitive market and to highlight the strengths of individual institutions.

To strengthen the ties with high schools in the region, HKBU and CUHK organized a fly-in counsellor visit to Hongkong which was attended by around 25 high school counsellors. HKBU’ s international admission team (AR) reached out to UIC (AR/ IDO) in order to explore potential collaboration and to offer the opportunity to high school counsellors to pay a visit to UIC, highlight the ESP programme and explore UIC as a viable alternative for students wishing to study in China.

With the tremendous support of AR, the faculties and student organizations IDO and HKBU AR coordinated a two-day visit (15-17 March 2024) for counsellors from 5 high schools in the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia to showcase UIC and allow the counsellors to gain a deeper understanding of UIC.
