On 14 March 2024, a delegation from Nova SBE, Portugal arrived at UIC, visited the campus and held a meeting to learn more about UIC and explore opportunities for collaboration.

Founded more than 40 years ago, Nova SBE is one of the leading business schools in Europe, dedicated to nurturing top talents in business, economics, and finance. The delegation members included Prof Pedro Oliveira, Prof Marco Espinheira, and Mr Zeng Xiaohui.

UIC was represented by UIC Provost Prof Patrick Chau, Associate Vice President (Internationalization) and Dean of Faculty of Science and Technology Prof Pan Jianxin, Acting Dean of Faculty of Business and Management Prof Adolf K.Y. Ng, Dean of Graduate School Prof Huang Yu, Assistant to President, Deputy Registrar of Academic Registry and Administration Director of Graduate School Ms Ashura Lam, and Director of the International Development Office Dr Katharina Yu.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on UIC's development history, academic construction, educational philosophy, talent cultivation and more, gaining a deep understanding of each other's needs, which provided important references for potential cooperation.
