All exchange in students need to apply for X visa (Study visa). For the students who will study at UIC for more than six months, he/she needs to apply for X1 visa (Long term study visa), after arrival in China, he/she needs to change to Residence Permit; for the students who will study at UIC for less than six months, he/she needs to apply for X2 visa (Short term study visa).

The exchange in student can apply for the X visa by using the invitation letter and JW202 form sent by the International Development Office. After successfully being enrolled, the International Development Office at UIC would apply for the JW202 form for the exchange in students, and will normally take one month to receive the form from the Education Bureau of Guangdong Province.
